Who I am

I am a second-year Computer Engineering undergraduate at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

Interested in software engineering, education, and psychology, I often use my subject knowledge to build cross-disciplinary solutions that solve real problems.

I am the founder and content creator of the Hong Kong ICT In Education Focus Group (HKICTEFG), previously named TechGrade.ICT, having organized an online HKDSE ICT mock examination during my freshman year attracting more than 200 candidates—capturing over 3% of the total candidate pool.

My pedagogical approach and teaching ability have been recognized by day school teachers and university professors alike—I have extensive experience in designing teaching and learning activities in both secondary and tertiary institutions. I also provide private tutoring services.

I am currently involved in the TutorTrack and Open Stage projects.

Adaptive Pedagogy

I vary my pedagogy depending on my audience.

For secondary school students, I adopt an accurate exam-oriented approach. Bringing the "examiner's perspective" to students, I ensure my students know the rules of the road.

When it's not about examinations, I encourage students to learn beyond and explore independently.

Either way, I emphasize the need of independent and critical thinking in students' studies. I respect students' opinions, and work hard to co-create a meaningful and smooth learning experience.

Being a Hongkonger is a part of my identity. I enjoy visiting different parts of Hong Kong and the unique culture this place brings. I also like exploring different cities, particularly Japanese cities like Tokyo and Osaka. It doesn't help that I am half a train enthusiast...
